The WholeBody View method is a natural, cutting edge approach to hands-on therapy, leading to greater overall function and well being.  We are designed and organized to move as a whole body. When we move in this open and natural manner we maximize leverage, diffuses stress and distributes that effort throughout our entire structure.  The results are experienced immediately as a sense ease and freedom while moving. Anything less than a whole body approach is what Dan refers to as “segmenting,” which

is contrary to optimal function and well being.  Segmenting establishes restrictive movement patterns that lead to neuromuscular discomfort, dysfunction and injury potential. Professional assistance is often needed with the process of changing these deeply held movement patterns to a more natural and organic sense of comfort and ease.

This simple, yet profoundly effective, approach was developed by Dan McGovern, a movement therapist, with over thirty years of practical experience. His professional practice includes working with those living with Parkinsons, Dystonia, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and other neurological and/or movement disorders. Dan regularly conducts movement & balance classes supporting those experiencing movement dysfunction. These issues are effectively addressed and improved with one’s practice. In addition to his private practice, Dan is an Approved CE Provider for the State of Florida Board of Massage Therapy and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). He teaches Continuing Education throughout the State of Florida. Dan also offers the Wholebody View Professional"s Certification Program, designed for physical, occupational and massage therapists.

 

Dan’s teaching schedule has taken him throughout Europe and the United States. He has lived and worked in the Greater Boston and New York City metropolitan areas and is now living, working and teaching in South Florida.
